As all children, Elliott is learning to speak properly by hearing others speak and inferring the rules of grammar from what he hears. He has picked up a very fun habit, though, of stressing the last syllable of "-ed" adjectives. So, "attached" is pronounced as "attach-ed," and instead of "drank" he'll say "drink-ed" in two syllables. It's making every situation feel more dramatic...
